On May 16, 2024, devastating news broke—due to a new road construction project in Ela, Osun State, several buildings, including the ITECH Training Center, were slated for demolition. The notice to vacate came as a severe blow. As a nonprofit organization with limited resources, ITECH faced an uncertain future.
By May 22, the grim reality set in as demolition crews arrived, reducing the training center to rubble. It was a heart-wrenching moment for everyone involved—the very foundation of ITECH seemed to crumble alongside the building.
Yet, in the face of despair, a remarkable story of resilience and generosity began to unfold. The board of directors, deeply moved by the plight of the organization and its students, sprang into action. Their response was nothing short of heroic.
