Graduation of 100 Students

In December 19,2024, the graduation of 80 students from three distinct programs—Computer Repairs, Junior Geeks, and Computer Fundamentals—marked a significant milestone for our institution. These programs catered to a variety of skill levels and interests, ensuring that each student received tailored, comprehensive training to help them succeed.

  • Computer Repairs: This program equipped students with essential practical skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems. Graduates demonstrated strong competency in diagnosing issues and applying effective solutions to a range of technical problems.
  • Junior Geeks: Targeted at younger learners, this program introduced fundamental concepts in coding, digital literacy, and creative problem-solving. Students proudly presented their projects, showcasing their growth and excitement for technology.
  • Computer Fundamentals: Offering a solid foundation in key computer skills, this course covered topics such as operating systems, word processing, and internet usage. It prepared students for future educational pursuits or job opportunities.

The graduation ceremony was a proud occasion, attended by family, friends, and community members who celebrated the students’ achievements. Their encouragement was a reminder for the graduates to continue their pursuit of knowledge in technology and innovation.

ITECH Vocational Charity, a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering individuals through education, technology, and vocational training, successfully graduated 100 students. These students completed various programs, including the Junior Geeks Program, Computer Repairs Training, Tech Foundation Course, and Computer Fundamentals. The training, provided free of charge, was offered to students from St. Lawrence, Afopet group of schools, and Iloko Model College.

During his special address, the guest speaker, Dr. Lawrence F.B. from the Federal Polytechnic Ede, delivered an inspiring lecture titled “Youth Empowerment and Challenges of Setting Up a New Enterprise.” Dr. Lawrence encouraged the graduates to apply their newly acquired skills to create their own enterprises, stressing that persistence and dedication are key to overcoming challenges.

“You must love the trade you’ve chosen and develop a passion for it. Embrace failure as a valuable lesson and build the resilience needed to rise again,” Dr. Lawrence advised.

Mr. Mosaku Moyogbore, the center manager, shared that the vocational training center has trained many teachers, who then pass on their knowledge to students in their own schools. He also highlighted that ITECH now offers specialized programs in Tech and Solar Professional Training.

“ITECH’s mission is to equip individuals with hands-on, career-ready skills in areas like solar generator building, installation, and phone and computer repairs,” he added.

ITECH President, Mr. Deali Lades, urged parents to take advantage of the vocational institute’s opportunities to equip their children with the tech skills that will secure their future.

Other notable speakers at the event included Mr. Uka Deu, who delivered a keynote address on “Transforming Education through Technology and Unlocking Potential to Inspire the Future,” and Mr. Magnus Oun, who gave an inspirational talk on the importance of vocational training and the global job opportunities it opens.

The graduation ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the proud graduates, marking the beginning of their journey toward a successful future in technology and innovation.
