Official Launch of New Center, Donation of 20 Computer Systems to Schools

August 19,2024, The official launch of our new center was a momentous occasion, marking a major milestone in our journey. The event featured the donation of 20 computer systems to two schools, Iloko and Afopet, as part of our ongoing commitment to bridging the digital divide in education. Community leaders, educational stakeholders, and beneficiaries gathered in celebration, expressing their gratitude for the support. Additionally, the graduation of 12 trainers from our Train-the-Trainer program, including 4 solar technology students, was a standout moment. These graduates are now equipped with the skills and knowledge to train others in their respective fields, expanding our reach and impact even further. This event was a celebration of progress, empowerment, and the fulfillment of our mission to provide technical education to underserved communities.

The three-in-one event included the official opening of the ITECH Vocational Charity Training Center in Ela, the graduation ceremony of trainers, and the commissioning of multi-million-naira computer laboratories donated to St. Lawrence’s Grammar School, Ela, and Ilo-Oluwa Model College, Ilesa.

In his speech, the President of ITECH Vocational Charity, Mr. Lades Adali, shared the motivation behind the event, explaining that the initiative was born out of the need to empower youth with the skills needed to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. “We are deeply committed to helping young individuals, ensuring their future is bright and that they will have fewer challenges in developing their skills from an early age,” he said.

Mr. Mosaku Moyogbore, the Program Manager, highlighted the importance of bridging the digital divide. He emphasized that ITECH Vocational Charity believes no one, especially the youth, should be hindered from reaching their full potential in today’s technology-driven society. “We are bridging this gap by offering affordable, accessible training in Information Technology, Environmental Protection, and Solar Technology. Our programs include cybersecurity, AI, machine learning, and vocational training in solar technology, computer repairs, and phone repairs,” he added.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Michael, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I have learned so much from this program, and it has been an incredible experience. Many thanks to the organizers and everyone who made this possible.”

Similarly, the management teams of St. Lawrence’s Grammar School, Ilesa, and Iloko Model College, Ilesa, expressed their heartfelt thanks to ITECH Vocational Charity for their significant contribution to the schools and communities.
